Bio

David Hall is a photographer & videographer who resides in Richmond, Virginia. David has a vast variety of skills such as portraits, landscape, toy, and experimental photography. David started making videos and taking photos as young as 10 years old which has now lead into his full-time career. David has worked with companies such as Canon and The LEGO Group. Today, David is making his mark on the world one photo and video at a time.

Originally I went in thinking that I’d make this project about lifestyle photography, and in a way I achieved this. However, I think it turned more into a more artistic approach using people as my canvas to achieve a specific feeling or style within all the images. Inspiration came from online sources such as Flickr, Google, and Instagram. These sources helped me figure out the type of mood I was aiming for; a “in the moment” type of feeling. The specific vision I had during this final project was very clear; shoot people in a variety of different ways and in different locations. I wanted each photo to have it’s own look and feeling to it going in. But I also want there to be a sense of cohesiveness between all the images. People we’re always going to be the main focal point from the beginning, it was where I was going to do this was the question. I ended up going  to three different parks in Richmond, Virginia. I also had the chance to go to Orlando so I was able to capture some photos there as well. The last shoot I did was during a class at my college. Overall I was going for images that capture your attention, that make you want to look closer. With today’s social media craze, it’s hard to stand out with photography. My goal was to be the outsider that captures moments that are worth taking a second look at.
